8.8.22 (Monday)

So last night we decided to seriously de-construct some of the hodge-podge shelving that was in the bedroom.  We must have pulled out eight trashbags of both women’s and men’s clothing, not to mention several bags of trash.  Not sure what all those little trash bags were about….don’t think they were to stuff holes to keep drafts out.  We are learning that Jackie was a bit of a hoarder…

Continue to make our mark on the place. The logs the house is made of are beautiful and we want to show them off as much as possible…even if it’s only for our own enjoyment!  Made my first full breakfast on the wood cookstove—eggs, meat, English muffins.  Pretty tasty!

Worked on getting empty totes over to one of the sheds to store for now.  Kevin took out some bracing under the stairs. Now that he’s done that and removed some shelving from the walls, the place is really starting to open up!  We are repurposing the shelving, mostly into the shed that will become my “she-shed” or the sewing/crafting cabin.  How many women can say they have something that cool??
