Snowfall:  48.0" (4 feet)

Mouse Trapline Tally:  6

(Total to-date for this year!)

Hello again!  We've stalled on the snow front but there's more coming in the next week or so.  Will keep you posted!

Kevin and I have been pretty busy the last couple of weeks.  Keeping the snow off the roofs is important so we got a couple of new roof rakes this year.  This one is called the "Avalanche" and it's amazing!

Talk about making quick work of the snow removal!  And it's a lot easier on the person pulling it off than a normal roof rake!

We highly recommend it to anyone who has a ton of snow to pull off their roofs!

Even the people at the hardware store wanted us to let them know how well it works! 😋

Thanksgiving was a quiet celebration for us this year.  We have SO much to be grateful for and we had steaks instead of the standard turkey for dinner.  It was awesome!

We did make it to town to pick up our snow machines and it's been fun learning to ride.  Kevin has a season on me but I'm catching up and I haven't dumped it yet!

I named mine "Daisy".  That first trip home on her was challenging....I rode her once around the parking lot and said "let's go!"  It was raining, then it started snowing...yep, that was a challenge...all while I'm trying to get my snow legs.  But we made it!  Kevin rigged her up for me with my pack-out boxes so I can haul anything I need to!  We later brought his machine ("Samson") home and he's put new skis on him.  I'll get pics of both of them in action next time.  In the mean time, we figured out that what is a marshy, wet area behind our property (we call it the 'pond') in the summer time, is now frozen and we can play on it!...

What a great way to practice and so fun!

We finally got the Christmas tree up...

And some other decorations...

I love keeping it simple this time of year.  So many people get caught up in the "stuff" and the busy-ness and forget the true meaning of  Christmas.  May we never forget....

I have been busy making some sweet treats, and that included a new recipe for Homemade Playdoh for the grandkids.  It turned out pretty cool!

I had a birthday this week.   The big "60".  I've never been bothered by the # of my birthdays.  As opposed to the alternative, I'll take them every year!  Living this off-grid lifestyle, I'm in better shape than I've ever been.  I'm grateful for the small, simple things, my family, a wonderful husband, and a wonderful life. Kevin made a terrific steak dinner and we sat out by the bonfire for awhile.  It was perfect...

With the promise of snow machine pictures to come and news about any other trouble we might get ourselves into...

Stay tuned! ❤
