Mouse Trapline Tally:  7

(Total to-date for this year!)

I've expanded the trapline into the two spare cabins.  We'll see how that goes... 😜

It's been a good week!  Today the sun is shining for the first time in days and it's GORGEOUS!

Sunday, DeAnn, Bernie and Ben all came over and we boarded the Hurricane train going north.  At that point, I'd never been north of this location so I was excited!  The railroad decided to throw a party on the train for remote dwellers.  They let us ride for free, had food, drinks and door prizes.  We also got to make some stops to pick people up and let others off.  We stopped at Shannon Cartwright's gallery.  She is a local artist.  I bought some autographed books for the grandkids for Christmas.  I also got to meet Mary & Clyde Lovel on the train.    They are apparently very well-known in the area and have been living up here 45 years!  Very sweet couple.  She is also an author and has written multiple books.  I bought her first one and she was kind enough to autograph it for me!

I'm not sure of the milemarker, but we ended up on the bridge at Hurricane Gulch.

It was beautiful!  And because we stopped on the bridge crossing the gulch, if you looked to the right side, you could see the silhouette of the train in the shadow...

Monday it poured rain all day so I barely came out of the cabin.  Today, with the sun shining, I felt so productive!  Filled up all the water tanks and buckets, did six loads of laundry and washed the mud out of the new snow blower.  What a day!
