It's been a busy week! Kevin had a birthday on Tuesday, so we ate pretty well....Eggs Benedict for breakfast (yes, I know how to make the hollandaise sauce from scratch, but this one wasn't), corned beef and cabbage for supper (baked in the oven), then strawberry cheesecake for dessert!
We've also been transforming the guest cabin this week. We've been taking down shelving and moving things around to make it more spacious and welcoming. We took some shelving off of the front porch so the view is better from there...

We also dismantled a set of bunk beds from one of the bedrooms in the main cabin and rebuilt them in the back room of the guest cabin. It's now gone from sleeping only one person to sleeping up to four! And the cool part is that we didn't have to spend a dime---everything we used was either already here or we brought it with us!
On the weather front, we woke up to a trace of snow this morning:
It's getting colder at night and we are expecting our first measurable snow next week.
