Hello!

It's been a bit quiet the last week or so.  We did pull a freight sled into town over the weekend and picked up some stuff from storage.  We also picked up the new sled that Cajun Flame made for us.  It's wonderful!  I have a feeling we looked a bit like the Beverly Hillbillies when we pulled out for home...

With only one stop on the trail to adjust some straps, we made it home...

I mentioned before that we have a very special visitor coming next week and Kevin wanted to get his grandpa's old bed frame put in place before that happens.  I'll take pictures later of it in the cabin.  It looks wonderful!

I also celebrated a quiet birthday this week.  We made a cake together from scratch and cooked it in the wood cookstove.  That was fun!

It fell a little but tasted wonderful!  It was certainly an unexpected treat and I am so grateful for so much this year!

It snowed all day yesterday and all last night.  At this point, we've gotten almost a foot and it's still coming down.  We may head into town tomorrow for some supplies if we can make it.  We have a mechanic and his wife coming up on the train on Saturday to work on our big generators.  They'll spend the night and head back on Sunday.  It should be fun!
