Spring has sprung!
We had almost two feet of snow fall in two days a week or so ago. Now the snow is melting so fast you can almost watch it. It's crazy!
In fact, we got so much snow so quickly that we were fighting the snow blower just to try to stay ahead of it. At one point, nature won and we got the snow blower super stuck!
The trail in and out has become nearly impassable. Apparently people are starting to park their four-wheelers at the gravel pit (approximately the 1/2-way point to town). That way they can ride a snow machine to the pit then four-wheel on into town. Have wheels, will travel!
We don't really have the option to do that, so our window to travel has closed. We're pretty stocked up here and can have groceries delivered via the train on the first Thursday of each month so we'll make do.
The days have been in the 40's and it certainly feels like a heatwave after the long, dark winter months. We even put the screen door back on to let the fresh air in. It's wonderful!
Kevin goes back to work in a couple of weeks. We've got lettuce, tomatoes, sweet peppers, spinach and jalapeños started for the summer growth season. Life is good!
We don't have internet here so I've been having to crank up the hotspot on my phone to post this blog. The service is sketchy so that's why the posts are so intermittent. We're working on getting a more reliable setup going. Like everything else, It always seems to come down to time and money, right?
Keep smiling and stay tuned! 😎
