Measurable snow YTD: 61.00"/5.08 feet

We're back!  My apologies for not posting for over a week.  We had some technical difficulties and have rectified them so we are good to move forward into the new year!

My post from last week that was not successful...

From our house to yours, to all of our family and friends, Wishing you a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

This past year has been both challenging and rewarding for us and we are feeling beyond blessed.  New lessons are learned every day...from continuing to learn how to cook in the wood cookstove...

Christmas ham...

To homemade chocolate chip cookies..

...to remembering to bring in wood every night, bringing water up from the spring, knocking the snow out of the snow machine tracks before it freezes overnight, and so on.

Now to the more up-to-date post!

We've been keeping busy!  I sweet-talked Kevin into building me bins in the kitchen for onions and potatoes...

Ugly, unused corner before...

In progress...

Done!...

I absolutely love them!  They are adorable and functional.  What every kitchen craves!

We also had a grandbaby visit for a couple of nights and that was fun!

And, finally, I have to share that I conquered my fear of driving a snow machine!  I took on the tougher Tundra...

I fell in love!  We have a big Ski-Doo that was like driving a Cadillac after driving this one.  I have to admit, this one kicked my butt but it was a great workout and I loved it!  Will keep practicing and maybe, eventually, will get the nerve to drive it all the way into town.  We'll see...

In the meantime, We pray you are all happy and healthy and seeing God's grace every day.  Keep smiling and stay tuned.....
